At ImageFIRST Tampa, it’s no secret we’re dedicated to community service. We believe that by volunteering, our associates will further their selfless, strong-minded, and community-oriented outlooks. When they hone in on their goals of self-betterment, work ethics will follow suit, making them the best employees they can be—whether working at ImageFIRST or elsewhere. The point is, for our sake and theirs, it’s our obligation to commit to helping the communities in which we operate. (You can learn more about our pledge to continual service here.)
Habitat for Humanity is one of our favorite nonprofits to work with because they understand the importance of home. At ImageFIRST, we help make hospitals and outpatient facilities feel a little bit more like home to patients through offering them high-quality, comfortable gowns and garments to wear, and bright white sheets to sleep on. Habitat for Humanity builds houses for those in need, and in doing so, they help make struggling families’ dreams of having their own homes—not just houses—a reality. Whether it’s through a Comfort Care gown or four sturdy walls around a dinner table, the sense of feeling at home is one of the best there is.
On March 5th, ImageFIRST Miami sent a crew of associates from the plant, service and office departments to team up with Habitat for Humanity and build a home for a family in need.
ImageFIRST has an exceptional relationship with Habitat and sends associates out to work on projects with them at least once a year.
With 1400 affiliates in the U.S. and others worldwide, Habitat for Humanity has helped to bring almost 7 million people home since its founding in 1976. The organization is dedicated to building decent and affordable houses for families in need, which is made possible by the countless donations and volunteer work of over a million people annually.
It’s a good feeling knowing that there are other organizations out there that value the importance of home as much as ImageFIRST Tampa does. We promise to continue to work with Habitat for Humanity and other charitable institutions between supplying patient gowns and medical uniforms to Florida healthcare facilities.
